Since November 10, 2002, Rindern has its own museum. And the local history association still has many ideas. Art treasures can be seen in the area, including in the Museum Kurhaus and in Moyland Castle. And those who want to see remnants from the Roman times can either visit Xanten or Nijmegen. But why only there? After all, the Romans were not only settled in Xanten and Nijmegen. They also lived in the area in between, which has hardly changed in its structure to this day, including in Rindern.
And because the local history association Arenacum wanted to have the Rindern treasures from Roman times at the location, there is a dedicated museum in this part of Kleve.
In over 120 m², we present Celtic, Roman, and Frankish finds from Rindern and its surroundings. Among them are bronze finds from Düffelward, Celtic coins from the 1st century BC, coins from the Roman imperial period, fine Terra Sigillata, Roman kitchenware, ship finds from Spyck, as well as Frankish grave finds and much more!
