The Marienstift Bedburg or Bedbur was a monastery originally founded in 1124 where people lived according to the Ordo Canonici Regularis Praemonstratensis. It was located in the diocese of Cologne, in the present-day town of Schneppenbaum in the municipality of Bedburg-Hau. From 1519 until its dissolution in 1802 it was a secular damselfly. In 1604 the convent moved to Cleves, after which the monastery buildings and the church on the old site fell into disrepair. The former collegiate church became the parish church of St. Mark in 1804. It was not until around 1900 that it was restored to its original form.
