Energeticon is a museum about energy and coal mining in the Aachen coalfield. It is located in the German town of Alsdorf, six kilometers east of Kerkrade as the crow flies. The museum is housed in three buildings of the Grube Anna coal mine, which operated between 1854 and 1978. The museum uses the former forge from 1910, machine building from 1905 and shower building from 1905. The inscriptions on the objects in the museum are in both German and Dutch.
In front of the museum entrance is a chapel from 2014 in honour of Saint Barbara, patron saint of miners. One hundred meters south of the museum is the water tower of the former Grube Anna coal mine.
