The Echtzer Lake is a swimming lake near Echtz, a district of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the residual lake of the former lignite open-cast mine Alfred, where lignite was extracted from 1918 to 1941. The towns of Echtz and Konzendorf are located by the lake.
The recreational lake has a large number of trees. Directly by the lake is a campsite and a restaurant. The lake, with a maximum depth of 18 meters, is used as a diving site by the Düren Underwater Club. The swimming supervision is provided by the German Life Saving Society local group Aldenhoven. The barbecue hut can be rented.
