Blankensee Manor is a small eighteenth-century castle in Brandenburg located in Blankensee that belonged to the writer Hermann Sudermann.
The manor house was built in 1740 on the foundations of an old fortified castle of the Saxon captain Christian Wilhelm von Thümen. The manor house is typical of the Baroque of the March of Brandenburg. The two-storey main building, with its pointed attic roof, has an elegant entrance on the park side with a staircase decorated with putti sculptures surmounted by a balcony and a Greek-style pediment supported by two columns. The manor house is now owned by the Brandenburg Castle Society and has been used as a guest house and conference house for the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences since 31 December 2004. A small part, reserved for a museum dedicated to Hermann Sudermann, can be visited and the park is free to access.
