The former manor Philippshof is located in the town of Putlitz in the Prignitz region of Brandenburg and once belonged to the noble family of the Edlen Gans zu Putlitz. It was founded in the late 16th century by Philipp Gans Edlem Herr zu Putlitz. The estate bears his name.
The still existing manor house was built in 1895 and remained in private ownership of the family until the end of World War II. As part of the land reform, the estate was expropriated, and the manor house became state-owned in East Germany after 1949. In 1995, the building was comprehensively renovated for around 290,000 euros. Until the summer of 2005, it was used as an elementary school and then stood empty. The manor house is listed as a monument.
