The St. George's Church is a Protestant church in Frankfurt. It was built between 1926 and 1928 as a replacement for a medieval predecessor and is a listed building.
In 1312, a lepers' house is mentioned outside the gates of the city of Frankfurt, which was the predecessor of the later Georgenhospital, with St. George as the patron saint of lepers. Therefore, it is assumed that St. George's Church was built during the same period. The documented mention is associated with an altar foundation in honor of Mary Magdalene. This has been equated in research with the church's patronage. When the patronage of St. George became established is unclear. The original location of the church was at the confluence of Bergstraße and today's Berliner Straße.
