Lehnin is a village and former municipality in the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark, Germany. Until its incorporation on 1 April 2002, Lehnin was an independent municipality, administered by the Amt of Lehnin.
Lehnin is located about fifteen kilometers southeast of the city of Brandenburg an der Havel, about twenty kilometers southwest of the state capital of Potsdam and about fifteen kilometers northeast of the city of Bad Belzig in the Zauche region. The neighboring villages are the villages of Michelsdorf in the west, Nahmitz in the northwest, Damsdorf in the north, Emstal in the southeast, and Rädel in the south. Lehnin lies on the Emster River, which flows north into the Havel. In addition, the village is located on the Klostersee, through which the Emster flows. The village is crossed by Landesstraße 88, which runs from Bundesstraße 102 near Brandenburg in the northwest to Bundesstraße 246 in Beelitz in the southeast, and Landesstraße 86, which leads from Bundesstraße 1 in Groß Kreutz in the north to Bundesstraße 102 in Golzow in the southwest.
