Manor House Bagow

The manor house Bagow is located in the district of Bagow in the municipality of Päwesin on the shores of Lake Beetz. It is a castle-like estate under heritage protection, built in the Renaissance style and expanded with a baroque addition. The manor belonged to the Bagow noble estate. Its address is Dorfstraße 35–37. The listed estate complex includes, in addition to the main house, a tenant house, a wash and laundry house, the coach house, several stable buildings and barns, two residential houses for staff, and the estate park.
The manor house was built in 1545 by Albrecht von Schlieben, who received the estate as a fief in 1526. A sandstone relief on the ground floor commemorates him. Until the end of the Thirty Years' War, the estate remained in the possession of the family. In the following decades, it briefly passed to the von Katte family and then to the von Stechow family. In 1693, the von Graevenitz family became the owners of the estate Bagow.
