Wildenbruch

The town has a population of 2,089, including the municipal parts of Wildenbruch-Bergheide, Wildenbruch-Lehnmarke, and Wildenbruch-Six, covering an area of 11.22 km² and is located on the state road 73 between Michendorf and Luckenwalde on the edge of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park. The district extends across the area between the federal highway 2 in the west, the federal motorway 10 in the north, and the Großer Seddiner See in the south.
Regionally, the town is known for its massive field stone church and the Seddiner See Golf and Country Club, whose two 18-hole golf courses extend completely on the territory of Wildenbruch along the northern shore of the lake. In the Middle Ages, the village played an important strategic role in protecting the army and trade routes, as well as the later postal route Leipzig–Berlin, and was correspondingly generously equipped during the German East Settlement.
