El lugar tiene, incluyendo las partes del municipio Wildenbruch-Bergheide, Wildenbruch-Lehnmarke y Wildenbruch-Six, 2.089 habitantes en una superficie de 11,22 km² y se encuentra en la carretera estatal 73 entre Michendorf y Luckenwalde, al borde del parque natural Nuthe-Nieplitz. El distrito se extiende en el área entre la carretera federal 2 al oeste, la autopista federal 10 al norte y el Gran Lago Seddiner al sur.
El lugar es conocido regionalmente, entre otras cosas, por su imponente iglesia de piedra de campo y el club de golf y campo Seddiner See, cuyos dos campos de golf de 18 hoyos se extienden completamente en la orilla norte del lago en el territorio de Wildenbruch. La aldea tuvo en la Edad Media una importante función estratégica para la protección de las rutas militares y comerciales, así como de la carretera de correo Leipzig–Berlín, y fue equipada de manera generosa durante la colonización alemana del este.
