Beyern is a district of the city of Falkenberg/Elster in the south Brandenburg district of Elbe-Elster and is located about six kilometers northwest of the town center along the railway line Węgliniec–Roßlau.
Until 1815, the village of Beyern was the southeasternmost locality of the Annaburg district. As early as the 16th century, the place had its own pastor. In 1550, 25 landowners lived in Beyern, including 19 tenants who were directly subject to the Lochau district. At that time, Landgeding (land assembly) took place in Beyern. The venue was presumably located at a sacred place of the present church, where a "proud" lime or oak tree stood, surrounded by further linden or oak trees.
