The Aalemann Canal is a branch canal of the Berlin Oberhavel. It is located in the Hakenfelde district of Spandau. The Berlin State Shipping Regulation designates the canal as a navigable state waterway. Watercraft must not exceed a length of 67 meters and a width of 8.20 meters.
The approximately 700-meter-long body of water runs straight from the banks of the Havel to the west to Niederneuendorfer Allee at Spandauer Forst. Both banks are bordered by a narrow green strip and are publicly accessible. On the southern bank, there are small garden colonies and a small green area. Parallel to the northern bank runs Aalemannufer street, which in the western part is accompanied by the residential area Aalemannufer and in the eastern part by a settlement of the sports club Spandau Aalemann e.V. At the eastern end of the street, or the canal, a car ferry leads to the opposite Havel shore in Tegelort.
