The Gorinsee is a natural body of water in the municipality of Wandlitz in the Brandenburg district of Barnim. It belongs to the area of the Wandlitz district in Schönwalde and has an area of 24 hectares.
The water surface of the lake is 58.5 metres above sea level. In the Prussian survey of 1903, this value was 58.7 meters. The depth of the water at its deepest point is about three meters, it has been steadily decreasing since 1985. As the lake has no tributaries, the depth of the water depends on the water table and stratum water. The lake was in danger of drying up due to the closure of the nearby sewage fields and the lowering of the water table as a result of the construction of single- and multi-family houses in the village of Gorinsee since 1990. In recent years, the water level has risen again.
