Wolzig is a district in the municipality of Heidesee in Brandenburg, southeast of Berlin in the district of Dahme-Spreewald. The locality is located by Wolziger See, the largest lake in the municipality of Heidesee, which is named after the locality. Since October 26, 2003, Wolzig has been a district of Heidesee and is located near the main town of the municipality, Friedersdorf.
In the lichen and heath pine forest, about 500 meters from the entrance to the village, there is a root tree that is protected as a natural monument; the pine tree is 17 meters tall and has a root circumference of 19.7 meters. Due to the excavation of the inland dune beneath the pine tree in the 1930s, the pine now stands on its exposed roots.
