Groß Leuthen, Lower Sorbian Lutol, is a village in Brandenburg in the municipality of Märkische Heide in the Dahme-Spreewald district and the seat of the municipal administration.
The place was first mentioned in documents in 1397 as Luthen. In 1857, the church was rebuilt after being at risk of collapse. In 1990, the 12th Cultural Festival of the Workers of Socialist Agriculture was to take place as part of the 23rd Workers' Festival in Groß Leuthen. On this occasion, a photo exhibition titled The Little People of Groß Leuthen was held during the Barn Summer 2009, featuring images from the years 1987 to 1989.
