The transmitter Bungsberg is located about 750 m north-northwest of the Bungsberg. Its antenna mast is 249 m high, was built in 2004 and has the shape of a guyed steel lattice mast. The user of the installation is Norddeutscher Rundfunk for FM broadcasting, DAB broadcasting, and television.
The old steel pipe mast used until 2004 has been replaced by a similarly designed guyed steel lattice mast equipped with transmission antennas for DVB-T. The replacement of the smaller old transmitter mast can be clearly seen in the photo at the top right.
