The Norderboat canal is a channel on the Eiderstedt peninsula. The canal, built in 1612, ran from Tönning at the mouth of the Eider to Tetenbüll. Via a connecting canal to the Süderboat canal, Garding and Katingsiel could be reached. The Norder and Süderboat canals connected the hinterland of Eiderstedt with the open North Sea by water, thus primarily contributing to the rise of Tönning harbor as the most important port in the region.
