The Nortorf Sculpture Park is located in the city park of Nortorf in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. Sculptures by prominent Schleswig-Holstein artists are displayed.
The city park of Nortorf was created as a landscape park from 1953 to 1956, east of the city center. The park area is characterized by a mix of various tree species, including oaks, larches, silver maples, birches, pines, and plane trees. On the initiative of the politician and art expert Kurt Hamer, the Nortorf Sculpture Park was established there at the end of 1987, and the first 11 sculptures were installed. Some of the original works have been exchanged and new ones have been added. Today, the collection includes 22 sculptures by 21 different sculptors of various styles. The Nortorf Sculpture Park support association oversees the permanent exhibition with guided tours and public relations work.
