The Hundsmarter is a mountain in the Saxon Ore Mountains, in the south of the municipality of Raschau-Markersbach. It marks the end of a ridge running from Fichtelberg, between Großer Mittweida and Kleiner Mittweida, and Pöhlwasser. On it is the upper reservoir of the Markersbach pumped storage power plant, built between 1970 and 1978. During its construction, the summit of the mountain was flattened. Today, the ring dam of the upper reservoir at 848.4 m above sea level is the highest point.
Its name is said to refer to the salt transport to Bohemia that used to pass over it, mainly operated with dog-drawn carts. Other historically recorded names for the mountain are Blöselstein or Blösenstein.
