Podrosche, Upper Sorbian Podroždź, is a district of the Saxon municipality of Krauschwitz. The village is located on the Lausitzer Neisse River, across which a border bridge leads to the neighboring Polish town of Przewóz. The village lies on the eastern edge of the official Sorbian settlement area in Upper Lusatia.
During the Counter-Reformation in Silesia, a border church was established in Saxon Podrosche. This church was the godparent for the Germanization of the Sorbian name of the village in 1936, and until 1947, Podrosche was officially known as Grenzkirch.
