Meinersdorf is a district of the Saxon municipality of Burkhardtsdorf in the Erzgebirgskreis. Founded in 1206, the village has been part of Burkhardtsdorf since 1999.
Meinersdorf lies about ten kilometers south of Chemnitz in the Zwönitztal in the Erzgebirge. The Zwönitz springs from the Schatzenstein and after 39.2 kilometers forms one of the source rivers of the Chemnitz. The main town Burkhardtsdorf is located about three kilometers northeast of the village. The Bundesstraße 180 follows the Zwönitz, which runs through Meinersdorf between Wanzleben-Börde and Frankenberg/Sa., connecting the village with Burkhardtsdorf and Stollberg/Erzgeb. The state road 259 and the district road 8803 end at the Bundesstraße on Meinersdorf's territory. The nearest highway connections are via the interchanges "Stollberg-Nord" and "Stollberg-West" to the A72 motorway, which is about eleven or twelve kilometers away from Meinersdorf.
