From the end of the 11th to the beginning of the 12th century, the church was built as a three-nave, flat-roofed pillar basilica. In the middle of the 13th century, the semi-circular apse was replaced by a five-sided Gothic choir termination above a crypt. The choir square and side choirs were vaulted, and the west portal was expanded. In the second half of the 15th century, the main aisle was vaulted, and the sacristy was completed in 1486. The choir square was connected to the side choirs, and the side aisles were extended up to the tower front.
