The Silbergründle mine near Seebach in the Black Forest was a lead and silver mine. It is historically confirmed that mining began in the 12th or 13th century and ended around the year 1770. Since 1984, the mine has been used as a visitor mine.
The mine opens up two quartz veins with a thickness of up to 1.5 m. The accompanying rock is Seebach granite. The veins contain galena, fahlerz, as well as iron-manganese and copper oxides.
