The Ketzin train station is the station of the town of Ketzin/Havel, which has been without regular traffic since the cessation of scheduled services. It was the terminal station of the Nauen–Ketzin railway line of the Osthavelland district railways.
In 1893, the railway line from Nauen to Ketzin was inaugurated as the first line of the private Osthavelland district railways company and the Ketzin station was opened. From 1913, the Ketzin station became the headquarters of the main workshop. After World War II, the railway company was nationalized in 1946. The railway, along with its entire infrastructure, initially came under the Brandenburg state railways and subsequently the Deutsche Reichsbahn. Three years after the nationalization, Ketzin became an operational depot of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. On May 21, 1966, passenger traffic on the route between Nauen and Ketzin ceased. Ketzin remained operational for freight transport. For example, in 1984, a so-called new painting hall was built. The Ketzin station was still served for freight traffic until 1997.
