The Jewish cemetery on Geschwister-Scholl-Straße in Brandenburg an der Havel is the former cemetery of the Jewish community of the city and a Holocaust memorial site. It is designated as a historical monument and one of two Jewish cemeteries used in the 20th century in the city.
A first Jewish cemetery existed by at least the 14th century southeast of the new town of Brandenburg. However, after the expulsion of the Jews from the Mark Brandenburg in 1571, all community life came to a standstill, and this cemetery was likely no longer used. It was not until the late 17th century that Jews settled again in Brandenburg. The Jewish community established a new cemetery in 1747. A mortuary was built in 1770. The cemetery was last expanded around 1840. In 1860, the mortuary was renovated before it had to be replaced by a new building in 1895.
