The Evangelical Church Haustenbeck was a church in the village of Haustenbeck, today Oesterholz-Haustenbeck, which existed from 1685 to 1939. Due to the expansion of the Senne military training area, the village has fallen into ruin. The church ruins are now an architectural monument of the municipality of Schlangen.
The settlement of Haustenbeck was founded in 1659 by Hermann Adolf Graf and Edler Herr zu Lippe. He expected better border security with the Prince-Bishopric of Paderborn, customs and other revenues as well as the defence of vested rights. He promised the settlers relief from tax burdens for six years. Nevertheless, the barren soil of the Senne initially attracted only a few new citizens.
