The dune at Ulvenberg in Darmstadt-Eberstadt is a nature reserve located on the western edge of the district of Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The nature reserve covers an area of about 8.89 hectares.
The sand dune at Ulvenberg was formed at the end of the Weichsel glaciation in the cold tundra climate through sand blowouts from Pleistocene aeolian sand. The aeolian sand dunes in Darmstadt-Eberstadt are part of a dune chain that extends approximately 130 kilometers from Rastatt to Mainz.
