Rüdersdorfer Mühlenfließ

The Rüdersdorfer Mühlenfließ is a river in the state of Brandenburg. It rises in Strausberg east of Berlin and flows after 15 km in Woltersdorf in the Flakensee of the Löcknitz. The lower part is the main branch of the federal waterway Rüdersdorfer Gewässer. The river flows through several lakes and several sections are known by special names.
The body of water has its source in the form of a small stream in Strausberg, 400 m south of the northeastern end of the Straussee, superficially without drains, and is also called Annenfließ in the village. In the vicinity of the suburban agglomerations of Strausberg, the water reaches the more than 1 km long Annensee lake, after a further 4.9 km, the 3.2 km long Stienitzsee. From the moment it leaves this lake, the Rüdersdorfer Fließ is part of the federal waterway Rüdersdorfer Gewässer. After a kilometre and a half, the Langerhans canal flows on the left. This connection with the Kriensee was created for the transport of limestone from the Rüdersdorf opencast mine. The next 2 km to the Hohler See are, like the entire previous route, also known as the Strausberger Fließ. The Hohle See has a diameter of less than 370 m and an area of just under 8.7 hectares. The stretch of the river that runs from here to the Kalksee is called Stolper Graben, after the nearby district of Woltersdorf. The Kalksee narrows to the south and is then connected to the Flakensee via the Woltersdorfer lock. This lock and the parallel mill canal together form the lowest part of the Rüdersdorfer Mühlenfließ.
