Waldangelloch Castle is the remainder of a spur castle on a hill spur 204 m above sea level over the district of Waldangelloch in the municipality of Sinsheim in the Rhein-Neckar district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The castle, which was presumably built around 1206 by the Counts of Eberstein on the foremost spur of the confluence of the Winkelbach into the Waldangelbach above the village, shows only the foundation remains of the ring wall and two corner tower buildings. The castle from the early 13th century was once a pentagonal complex, surrounded by a ring wall with four corner towers with timber framing. The complex probably never had a keep. The palas was three stories high and had a staircase tower with a spiral staircase. The castle was the seat of the Lords of Angellach until their extinction in the early 17th century. After the Thirty Years' War, Duke Friedrich August of Württemberg-Neuenstadt had the castle renewed in 1685, but it was no longer used as a noble residence. In 1806, the estate became the property of the Grand Duchy of Baden. Around 1860, the complex was still largely intact, although in a severely dilapidated state. Around 1900, the palas, staircase tower, and outbuildings were demolished. The spiral staircase was preserved and installed in the nearby Buchenauerhof. The site was leveled and temporarily served as a sports field.
