Hundseck is a small place at 884 m on the Black Forest High Road. The residential area belongs to the municipalities of Bühl, Bühlertal, and Ottersweier, while the ski lift belongs to Bühlertal. It is located south of the Mehliskopf at the junction of L 80b, which comes from the Forbach district of Hundsbach, into the Black Forest High Road. From here, several cross-country ski trails and hiking paths lead out. At Hundseck, there is a ski slope with a lift, an associated inn, a ski hut, several leisure homes, and residential houses. Notable is the health resort which was partially demolished in 2012 and the later miners' home.
