The Venhaus Lock is a lock on the Dortmund-Ems Canal. It is located in the district of Venhaus in the municipality of Spelle, in the south of the district of Emsland.
The Venhaus lock is part of the so-called Rheine lock staircase. On this approximately 29-kilometre-long section of the canal between the Bevergern lock and the Gleesen lock, a height difference of almost 29 metres is overcome. On the waterway from Bevergern to Gleesen, three more locks have to be passed: Rodde, Altenrheine and Hesselte .
