The source of the Weiler Ach is located in the Allgäu Alps southeast of the Hörner group at the western edge of Obermaiselstein. The watercourse originates directly west of the Obermaiselstein tunnel through the confluence of the Bolgenach flowing from the west-northwest and the Schönberger Ach coming from the southwest.
