The railway museum Jünkerath, founded in 2008 in Jünkerath in the Vulkaneifel district of Rhineland-Palatinate, is operated by the Eisenbahnfreunde Jünkerath association.
Jünkerath was a railway hub for the Eifel line Cologne – Trier and the branch lines Dümpelfeld – Lissendorf and Jünkerath – Losheim – Weywertz. The town was significantly shaped by the Jünkerath locomotive depot, which closed in 1966 and housed numerous classes during the steam era, particularly class 39.
