The Büsum high-rise in the North Sea spa town of Büsum, Dithmarschen district, the gateway to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea, is probably the tallest building on the German North Sea coast in Schleswig-Holstein, with a height of about 85 meters.
The building, also known as the "Büsum Finger," is located west of the town center of Büsum. It stands behind the sea dyke, which forms the green beach of Büsum. In front of it lies the artificial island Perlebucht, or Family Lagoon. The high-rise was completed in 1972 and has 22 floors. It towers over the houses and the Büsum lighthouse multiple times. From the top, a wide view of Büsum, the inland, and the sea is possible.
