The State E.T.A. Hoffmann Gymnasium Bamberg is a music-oriented high school in Bamberg, Upper Franconia. It is named after the musician, draughtsman, and writer E. T. A. Hoffmann, who worked for some time in Bamberg in the early 19th century. Since 2011, the E.T.A. Hoffmann Gymnasium has been a UNESCO project school with recognized status.
The artistic subjects German, Arts Education, and Music carry special weight. In the pedagogical seminar, about 20 to 30 student teachers are accompanied each year in the subjects of German, History, Social Studies, English, Mathematics, Physics, Arts Education, and Psychology through the preparatory service and are prepared for the second state examination.
