The building was built at the turn of the century. It was entered in the list of monuments of the city of Mönchengladbach on 15 December 1987 under no. Sch 011.
Schmidt-Bleibtreu-Straße is located in the Odenkirchen district and consists largely of historic buildings. The built eaves house of four axes is built on two and a half floors. A crippled half-hipped roof closes off the building. The property is worthy of protection as a historic town house and due to its location. Like objects No. 4 and No. 8, the house is also part of a row of houses.
