The Minden tramway was the tram system of the East Westphalian city of Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia. It was metre-gauge and was powered by 600-volt direct current. The original operating company was the Minden Steam Tram Company, which was founded in 1893. In March 1914, the shareholders City of Minden, Elektrizitätswerk Minden-Ravensberg GmbH and the Province of Westphalia finally founded Straßenbahn Minden GmbH. From 1928 onwards, EMR was the sole shareholder, later the "EMR Motor Transport Department" was created. The first steam tram was opened on 7 September 1893, but electric operation could not be started until after the First World War on 8 December 1920. Between 1956 and 1959, all tram lines in Minden were closed.
