The Bürgermeister Abendroth is a former lightship built in 1888 at the Eiderwerft shipyard in Tönning. She is now moored at the Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum in Bremerhaven as a museum ship.
The ship was built in 1908/1909 as Stationsschiff Eider at the Eider shipyard in Tönning for the Kaiserliche Marine. The steel-hulled ship, rigged as a three-masted schooner without engine, was used in 1909 as a lightship on a static position on the Inner Eider.
