The Biebesheim Bird Park is a 2.5-hectare large bird park in Biebesheim am Rhein. It is known, among other things, for its breeding successes with emus, kestrels, and tawny owls. Since 1981, the Biebesheim Bird Park has successfully been working on the reintroduction of the native white stork.
In mid-1997, an expansion area was acquired to improve housing options for large birds, but the development progressed only moderately. The park had long been threatened with closure due to exhausted funds.
