The Fairy Tale Grove was a fairy tale forest located above the wine village of Niederheimbach from the 1930s until 1980, and it was a tourist attraction on the Middle Rhine.
The builder was the sculptor Ernst Heilmann. He came to Niederheimbach in 1910 and opened a modest workshop in 1911, where he created altars, pulpits, and seats for various churches, e.g., in Arzfeld, Neuerburg, Montabaur, and in Alsace.
