The Gustavszeche mine was a mining operation in the Biebertal near the district of Bieber close to Gießen. There, brown iron-manganese ores occurring in nests were mined.
It is one of the mines in the Lahn-Dill region.
After an out-of-court settlement between the mining entrepreneur J.J. Jung and Wilhelm Briel in 1878, the mine field under the name "Gustavszeche" came into the sole possession of the family businessman Jung.
