The Ilsbach, also called Streitbach or Sausel in its upper and middle course, is a 20.7 km long right-hand tributary of the Seenbach in the High and Lower Vogelsberg as well as at the eastern interface to the Vorderen Vogelsberg, Vogelsbergkreis, Hesse.
The source called Streitborn is located at over 700 m altitude just 900 meters west-northwest of the Sieben-Ahorn peak in the so-called Oberwald, as the wooded summit region above 600 m in the Vogelsberg is also called. From there, the river flows through the High Vogelsberg in western and northwestern directions through various districts of Ulrichstein, before finally reaching the large municipality of Mücke in the Lower Vogelsberg and its western interface to the Vorderen Vogelsberg.
