H. Büttner founded the brewery Brewery & Malting H. Büttner in 1872. Brewmaster Otto Hoyer took over in 1888 and renamed it Brewery Lohmen. In 1935, it was taken over by Hans Hoyer.
In 1939, the brewery produced top-fermented beers and lemonades, and it had a brewhouse and its own malting facility. Three workers and employees produced 1,400 hectoliters annually.
