Polle is located on the Weser River (in German: Weser) in the Weser Uplands. An important monument is Polle Castle, a ruin of the castle of the Counts of Everstein, which was destroyed by Sweden during the Thirty Years' War. The ruin is located on a mountain cone and from the tower there is a view over the Weser valley. At the foot of the mountain cone of the ruins, a vulture ferry sails across the Weser.
