Description

The Schneeberg or Snow Mountain is a wooded hill on German territory, that of Aachen, immediately north of Vaals. The Schneeberg owes its name to the limestone soil which gives a remarkably light (white) color in the summer compared to the surrounding soils. The hill is part of the German part of the Bocholtz Plateau and the real summit has an altitude of 257 meters above sea level.
