The Brandenberg is a hill in the Reichswald near Kranenburg. The road over the Brandenberg is asphalted and in excellent condition. The entrance to the Reichswald can be closed with a barrier, but you can go around it by bike. After the summit you descend to a Forsthaus. At the bottom you can turn right towards the Dutch border on a road of which the asphalt has largely disappeared (but which is doable by road bike in dry conditions), or you turn around and climb the Brandenberg again but from the other side.
From Kranenburg, the ascent of the Brandenberg is 1.2 km long, covers 58 meters of elevation gain with a maximum gradient of 9%.
