Twisteden is a village and a former municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 1969, the town has been part of the municipality of Kevelaer and is located southwest of this place near the border with the Netherlands, near the Maasduinen National Park.
The former municipality also included the hamlet of Kleinkevelaer. Near Twisteden is Traberpark Den Heyberg; A site of a former weapons depot built in the 80s whose landscape and bunkers have been used for recreation since 1994. There are public cycle paths and a large-scale training centre for trotting.
