The Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium is a Catholic private school in St. Ingbert. It is run by the non-profit St. Dominikus Schulen GmbH.
In 1852, the community of the Poor School Sisters of St. Dominic was founded by Bishop Nikolaus von Weis in Speyer. On November 19, 1891, the Poor School Sisters opened a private school with twelve students. In 1901, the private school was expanded into a four-class "Higher Daughter School." In 1917, the Lyceum "Auf der Meß" was developed into a six-class school. In 1944, the first graduating class took their exams in the eight-year institution – at that time as a municipal school during the National Socialist period. On April 1, 1946, the sisters received their school back retroactively from October 1, 1945, as a full institution. Until the 1989 school year, a school sister led the school. The religious community established the non-profit St. Dominikus Schulen GmbH on March 31, 2003, under the umbrella of the St. Dominikus Foundation, which continues the sisters' commitment.
