The ruins of Königswart are the remains of a hilltop castle at an altitude of 785 meters in the Murgtal valley in the Northern Black Forest, above the village of Schönegründ, a district of Röt in the municipality of Baiersbronn in the Freudenstadt district of Baden-Württemberg.
The ruins were discovered during construction work on the connecting road L350 from Schönegründ to Besenfeld and were excavated in 1974 in cooperation with the Klosterreichenbach forestry office, the Karlsruhe monument office, and the Freudenstadt district office by district archivist Dr. Wein.
